Which should you use?
For a single free transfer of 5 GB or less, both services work without your recipient creating an account. Above 5 GB, or if you send more than twice a day, Dropvi Free fits better. For long-term storage or very large paid transfers, Filemail fits better.

- You want a desktop app that resumes interrupted transfers and downloads files automatically.

- A SHA-256 checksum for every file, computed in the sender's browser during the upload.
- Downloads of single files or of every file as one ZIP, with dropped connections retried automatically.
- A free command-line tool that resumes an interrupted upload and checks each file's SHA-256 on download.

- Dropvi keeps a transfer online for at most 30 days on any plan. Filemail Pro and Business keep files permanently.
