End-to-end encrypted
Files, names and messages are encrypted in your browser before upload, and Dropvi cannot read them. The key is in the link, after the # sign, which browsers do not send to Dropvi. Dropvi still sees recipient email addresses, file sizes, the number of files and dates.
No permission obstacles, no speed caps
Recipients do not need an account or a sign-in. They open the link and download, on a phone or a computer; if you set a PIN, they enter it first.
Uploads stream through Cloudflare's network into R2 storage. Dropvi applies no speed caps to uploads or downloads.

In-browser file previews
Recipients can view images, PDFs, CSV and text files, and play video and audio in their browser before downloading. Previews are off for transfers with a download limit.

The end-to-end encryption row was checked on 27 September 2026 against each provider's own pages: WeTransfer's password page and help centre, Google Workspace, Microsoft OneDrive and Infomaniak. Other cells were not rechecked.
Built on Cloudflare
Your browser encrypts each file, its name and your message before upload, so Cloudflare R2 holds those files only in encrypted form, which Dropvi cannot read. Dropvi still sees recipient email addresses, file sizes, the number of files and dates, which it needs to deliver and delete transfers. Uploads stream through Cloudflare's network, and Dropvi applies no speed caps.
Send files from your terminal
The Dropvi CLI sends, downloads and deletes transfers from a terminal, a script or an AI agent. It encrypts every transfer end to end on your own computer, resumes interrupted uploads, checks every download against its SHA-256 and prints JSON on request. Sending needs a free account: run dropvi login once.
